| Currently the rate of autism is 1 in 88. We hear the rates are going up each year. We hear that services are hard to secure, that dollars for research and funding is too short. We spend our days wondering about our childrens health, education and future. Each day we deal with the unanswered questions, the meltdowns, the lack of sleep, and the worry. To most Americans, 1 in 88 is a number. To the families of a child with autism, our 1 in 88 has a face and a name. |
